Lifeguard Positions Available

Wayland Community Pool seeks qualified, enthusiastic lifeguards for weekday afternoon and evening shifts and weekend hours.  

Lifeguards play a vital part in the daily operations of the pool. Their role is to set an example through leadership and professionalism. Must be able to complete pool reports and assist in maintenance of pool area and other duties as needed.

Employee Requirements:

- Current American Red Cross Certification for Lifeguarding/First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer and AED Essentials

- Must be 16 years or older

- Have attended a lifeguard orientation session

- Must be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner

- All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of 500 yard swim and demonstrated knowledge of basic rescue techniques.
